Counselors in Training (CIT): One of our most popular and successful programs, the CIT program provides real “hands on” leadership experience for teens. We focus on decision-making, role modeling positive values, and group problem solving skills. This is a great opportunity for future leaders and responsible teens.
First Year CIT: (Ages 14-16) – The first year CIT program is designed to introduce the fundamentals of leadership and mentoring by providing a wide range of activities related to all aspects of the day camp experience. The program is a four-week commitment (Sessions 1 & 2 OR Sessions 3 & 4) and can only be taken once.
Second Year CIT: (Ages 14-16) – The second year CIT program will be an opportunity for the leaders to become more focused in specific areas of camp that they are interested in. Potential lifeguards will spend time on the waterfront, future ropes course staff will spend time helping to harness and belay climbers. This program is a six-week commitment and CITs can choose any three of the four sessions to attend.

Traditional Camps
and
Specialty Camps
Traditional Camps are what you think of when you think Camp. We have six units ranging from Wee Wonders (prek-k) to Olders 2 (8th-9th gr). The Traditional camp day is split into eight 45min periods. Swim lessons are held in the morning, free swim is in the afternoon, and lunch is at 11:45. The rest of the periods are filled with fun counselor planned activities or at our exciting specialty areas: Archery, Ropes, Nature, Arts & Crafts, Boating, and more.
Specialty Camps all focus around one specific theme (soccer, rocketry, fortbuilding, etc. . .). For the majority of the time all specialty activities happen in the morning between 9-11:45. The camps then eat (traveling camps eat when back at camp at 12:30) and treat the afternoon like traditional camp. They have four periods dedicated to counselor planned activities, specialty areas, and free swim. Because of the age range and schedule the Mega Series are the only specialty camps to receive swim lessons.
"We brought our 1st time Kiddie Kamper to open house in June. He was nervous & teary at the idea of camp. Josh (4th year at camp)came with us. SEVERAL counselors & Ben came up to Josh to say "hi" and chat! That made Aaron less nervous & more excited for camp. IMPRESSIVE that the staff appears to have limited turnover & remembers kids"

"I was so happy that my son was learning to do different outdoor activities. He has usually been and "indoor" type of kid and I wanted him to enjoy and experience outdoor activities. He loved all the activities especially archery, ropes and swimming."
"My daughters both love Camp Ingersoll. As a parent I look forward to sending them there every summer knowing they are safe and will have a great time."
