Tony Sharillo started his career here at YMCA Camp Ingersoll in 1997 as a Middle Boys Counselor and since then has had many different roles at camp. After the 2006 summer he accepted the Camp Program Director for the Waterbury YMCA where he facilitated YMCA Camp Mataucha and Oakasha the past 3 summers. Very excited to be back home, he is looking forward to another great summer!
Tony and his wife Erika have a son Michael and are expecting their second child this spring.

Helen Peaslee has been part of the YMCA Camp Ingersoll team since 2003.
Helen manages all of the camp registrations and communications. Helen works closely with our families to make sure that all of their questions get answered.
Helen and her husband, Vernon, have two children, Christina is also a YMCA Camp Ingersoll staff member and Patrick is a camper in Film Making Camp. |

Ben Silliman

Ben Silliman has been at YMCA Camp Ingersoll since 2001 and has served in a variety of roles including lifeguard and Boating Director. Since 2007 Ben has been programming and supervising all of the specialty camp programs.
Ben is well known for his enthusiasm and energy. When it comes to dress up days no one out does Ben.

Henry Coe

For more than 30 years Henry Coe has embodied the spirit of YMCA Camp Ingersoll as one of its key leaders and advocates. Henry is now retired from teaching in District 13, but he is still an active member of the camp staff.
In 2006, the Board of Directors of the Middlesex YMCA created the Henry W. Coe Scholarships which award a total of $1500 in cash prizes annually to two camp staff members attending college. |

Matt Zabroski
CIT/ Assistant Camp Director

Matt Z has been a staple at YMCA Camp Ingersoll for almost 20 years. In that time he has just about done it all. Matt was a counselor, the boating director and for the last 5 years has served as the director of our Counselor in Training Programs (CIT’s). This year our staff will have more than 30 former CIT’s that were trained by Matt Z. In addition to preparing them for their leadership roles at camp, Matt serves as a terrific mentor for these teens. Matt has an uncanny ability to push teens to try harder then they thought they could in a way that makes them glad that they did.
During the school year Matt Z is a teacher in the Glastonbury School system and spends a few nights a week at the YMCA youth center where he continues to have a positive impact on the lives of young people. |

Mike Lacroix

Mike Lacroix has been at YMCA Camp Ingersoll since 2003. He was the Middle Boys Unit Leader for 3 years before joining the Senior Staff.
Mike is terrific communicator that is comfortable talking with teens, staff or even working the microphone at the various camp events.
During the school year Mike is a teacher at ACES Whitney High School in Hamden. |

Melanie Carfora

Melanie Carfora
was a camper at YMCA Camp Ingersoll when she was a child and has been an employee of the YMCA since 1999. Currently she is the School Age Child Care Director and manages 12 sites and about 60 staff.
Melanie has served in many roles at camp including travel camp counselor and unit leader of horseback camp and Olders 1. This summer Melanie will again be the Program Director responsible for planning special event and family nights.

Rob Silliman
Waterfront Director

Rob Silliman has been at YMCA Camp Ingersoll since 2000 and served as lifeguard until he became the Waterfront Director in 2005.
Rob holds very high standards for safety and education at the waterfront. In addition, he makes it a priority to get to know as many campers by name as possible.
During the school year Rob is the Physical Education teacher at Tofolon Elementary school in Plainville. |

Kelly Ellis

Christopher "Kelly" Ellis has been at YMCA Camp Ingersoll since 2003 as a member of the Waterfront Staff. Since then he has become a very valuable member of the Senior Staff.
In addition to his responsibilities at the Waterfront Kelly also supervises the specialty areas of Archery, Ropes, Nature and Arts & Crafts.
During the school year Kelly is a teacher at Middletown High School and is an assitant coach for the football team. |

Teri Walsh, RN

Teri Walsh has been a part of the YMCA Camp Ingersoll team since 2007. Prior to her time with us, she served as the nurse for a resident camp in Maine.
Teri has two children (J.P. and Sean Patrick) that are also YMCA Camp Ingersoll Campers.

Jimmy Wright

Jimmy Wright has been the Maintenance Director at YMCA Camp Ingersoll for 5 years. Prior to that Jimmy worked for Brown & Wimler Construction, the great team that built the Camp Office, Bathhouse and installed SLIDEZILLA.
Jimmy spends his free time playing softball, fishing and whistling country & western songs.
Jimmy is best known for his warm welcoming personality and his willingness to offer help.
